FAMILY HARVEST CHURCH

VISION & BELIEFS

Vision: something seen otherwise than by the ordinary sight; a prophetic image of an eventual reality; the precursor to a chosen direction or mission.

Habakkuk 2:2-3, "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

Proverbs 29:18, "Where there is no vision, the people perish..."

FHC is motivated by God's Word to do His will, which is:

THE GREAT COMMANDMENT: Matthew 22:37-39, "Jesus said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself."

THE GREAT COMMISSION: Mark 16:15, "And He said, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

Vision of FHC:
PRAYING CHURCH -
Family Harvest is built on prayer with the Word of God as its foundation.
BELIEVING CHURCH -
The message of faith will be taught and caught by every member.
SAVING CHURCH -
People will come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and experience the delivering power of God.
SENDING CHURCH -
People with a call of God on their lives will be fed, built up, and sent into the harvest.

Beliefs of FHC:
We believe...

  1. The Bible is the unfailing, reliable Word of God.
  2. In the Divine Trinity, that God is one, but manifested in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; and that they are co-equal and co-eternal.
  3. In the Diety of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  4. In the person of the Holy Spirit.
  5. Man's first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance.
  6. Salvation is a gift of God to man, separate from works, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God.
  7. In taking holy communion, as instructed by our Lord Jesus.
  8. In water baptism by immersion and that this commandment is for believers only and is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
  9. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God as promised by our Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this life and is received after the New Birth and is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives the believer utterance.
  10. The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord, and that sanctification is a definite, yet progressive, work of grace beginning at the time of salvation and continuing until Christ's return.
  11. Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands; and is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Church today.
  12. The Lord Jesus Christ shall return for the Church and that His coming is near.
  13. Following Tribulation, Jesus shall return to earth as King of kings and Lord of Lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years as written in the Word of God.
  14. Those who physically die in their sins without accepting Christ are hopelessly and eternally lost and therefore have not further opportunity of hearing the gospel or repenting.

In summary, FHC is a place where:
Love greets you at the door
The Word of God is taught
The Spirit of God is caught

There's pure, powerful praise
Children receive more than babysitting
Youth are unashamed of the Gospel
And people of all ages
LOVE JESUS!
